A clean kitty feels happy and comfortable in his or her own skin!  They love to feel clean - so let's debunk the myth that cats do not need grooming.  For one, the myth "they groom themselves" is not accurate.  They lick, which leads to hairballs getting ingested.  They cannot trim their nails which causes them to stick to carpets and blankets.  Here are a few services we provide to help keep your kitty feeling their very best with cat grooming.

Oddly, some people think that nail trimming is not needed.  While many cats can sheath their outer nails with scratching posts, this is to release pheromones, which makes them feel good.  However, it is not the same as trimming the sharp tips of their nails.  Like us, that is growing cartilage and it always grows.
As your kitty ages, the nails become thicker, and most cats cannot keep up with the sheathing process like they did when they were younger.  Whether young or old, the nails can grow in a curve and can grow right into your kitty's paw pad without you ever knowing. 
This can be painful, and even cause your kitty to walk less, or only as needed, because it hurts.  Always know the condition of your kitty's nails.  We are here to help with this simple process of cat grooming.

Cats collect oils, and dirt sticks to it in their fur.  When they lick themselves, they ingest all of this along with loose fur.  We've discussed fur ingestion is dangerous, but even what is in their fur can be harmful, and unpleasant.  This is where the bath comes in handy.  If cats are handled and bathed at a young age, they consider this a normal part of cat grooming.  When not, then there is some work to do.  

Sanitary trims are great to keep their back end clean and fur free in order to avoid clinging matter.  This is often requested with overweight cats that cannot reach their back end, or longer haired cats where there is so much fur covering their back end and causing them to travel with waste material all over your home.  This is a much requested part of cat grooming.

Some cats have very thick undercoats and require assistance in removing their dead hairs.  It is very uncomfortable to carry all the dead fur and getting it stuck in kitties mouth when shedding. This can also cause blockage in your kitty's GI tract which can result in surgery to remove or toxic constipation to occur.
